How do I find and add friends on Soctrip?

On the Soctrip home page, select the search icon on the top-right corner
Enter the friend’s name into the Search on Soctrip bar, the system will then suggest matching results based on the keyword of the friend’s name

- If you find a profile matching the person you’re looking for, select that username to redirect to their profile. At their profile, select Add friend to send them a friend request.
- If there’s no matching result, select Search. At the username you wish to add them as a friend, select Add friend.

Or select that username to redirect to their profile. At their profile, tap Add friend to send them a friend request.

How do I view friends suggested by Soctrip?

You can use the People you may know feature to find friends on Soctrip. The suggestions made by the People you may know feature are based on your mutual friends and shared interests, such as following the same Fanpages/Groups or using other related services on Soctrip.

How do I accept or reject a friend request?

You can see a friend request list on the notifications above the interface or at certain notification-displaying spots.

Option 1:

Select the [notification] icon on the top-right of the screen
Select the [user] sent you a friend request notification
At the profile of that person, select Respond
Select Accept if you want to add the person as a friend
Select Decline if you don’t want to add the person as a friend. This will also remove the friend request

Option 2:

Go to your profile and select Friends
Select Friend Requests
Select Accept if you want to add the person as a friend
Select Decline if you don’t want to add the person as a friend. This will also remove the friend request.

Option 1:

On the homepage interface, select the [notification] icon at the end of Soctrip menu bar
Select the [user] sent you a friend request notification to visit their personal profile, or right at the friend request notification line, you can:

- Select Accept if you want to add the person as a friend
- Select Decline if you don’t want to add the person as a friend. This will also remove the friend request.

Option 2:

Go to your profile and select Friends
Select Friend Requests
Select Accept if you want to add the person as a friend
Select Decline if you don’t want to add the person as a friend. This will also remove the friend request.

Why can’t I add someone as a friend?

You may not be able to add someone as a friend if:

Perhaps you’ve sent them a friend request but they haven’t accepted it yet.
Double-check to see if your friend request is pending or not. Just give them some time to respond to your friend request.
Your friend request could’ve been deleted.
You two are already friends on Soctrip.
You’ve reached your friend request limit on Soctrip.

Where can I view the friend requests that I’ve sent?

The sent friend request list displays the number of sent requests to the other accounts by the account holder.

Go to your profile and select Friends
Select Sent requests to view a list of your sent friend requests.
If you want to revoke a friend request, select Cancel request next to the name of the user you no longer wish to be friends with.

How do I unfriend a friend on Soctrip?

Option 1:

At your profile, select Friends
Select the Friend sub-section
Right next to the name of the person you wish to unfriend, select the action box that writes Friend
Select Unfriend
When the unfriend confirmation box appears, select Confirm to finish.

Option 2:

Go to the person’s profile by entering their name into the Soctrip search bar
Select the Friend action box on top of the profile
Select Unfriend
When the unfriend confirmation box appears, select Confirm to finish.

Option 1:

At your profile, select Friends
Select the Friend sub-section
Right next to the name of the person you wish to unfriend, select the action box that writes Friend
Select Unfriend
When the unfriend confirmation box appears, select Confirm to finish.

Option 2:

Go to the person’s profile by entering their name into the Soctrip search bar
Select the Friend action box right below the avatar
Select Unfriend
When the unfriend confirmation box appears, select Confirm to finish.

The person you unfriend won’t be notified.

Note: You will be deleted from a person’s friend list upon unfriending that person. If you wish to re-add that person as a friend, you need to send them a friend request again.
