How do I add a friend by name on Hahalolo?
- Click the search bar in the top left of any Hahalolo page.
- Type your friend's name into the search bar and select the one you would like to add.
- To send someone a friend request, click
Add friend on their profile.
- Tap
in the top left of Hahalolo. - Enter your friend’s name into the search bar
- Tap Add friend right at the name of the person you want to be friends with, or you can select their profile and tap
Add Friend below their profile picture.
OPTION 1: Search by Name
- Tap in the top left of Hahalolo.
- Enter your friend’s name into the search bar and select the one you want to add.
- To send someone a friend request, tap Add friend below their profile picture.
OPTION 2: Search by QR code scanner
- On Hahalolo app, tap
in the bottom right of the screen - Tap Friends
- Tap in the top left of the screen
- Tap the icon
QR in the top right of the screen to scan the QR code - Place a barcode inside the viewfinder rectangle to scan it. The system will automatically search for the QR code of the person you want to be friends with, and then redirect you to that person's profile
If you already have a photo of your friend's QR code in your gallery, you can tap Scan photo and choose to open that QR code photo. The system will browse the QR code and redirect you to that person's profile
- To send someone a friend request, tapAdd friend below their profile picture.
How do I see friends that Hahalolo suggests to me?
- You can use People You May Know to find friends on Hahalolo. People You May Know suggestions come from things like having friends in common, having the same travel interests such as clicking Haha and having used the service of a Page.
- You can find People You May Know in the Friends section
on the top bar or in your News Feed.
- You can use People You May Know to find friends on Hahalolo. People You May Know suggestions come from things like having friends in common, having the same travel interests such as tapping Haha and having used the service of a Page.
- You can find People You May Know in your News Feed. Or you can also tap Suggestions in
Friends in the settings or of Friends on your profile.
How do I upload contacts from my mobile phone to Hahalolo?
- Hahalolo supports you in seeing your active friends when you sync your contacts, and helps you know who you want to add to your friends list on Hahalolo.
- Contact information that includes phone number, name and email will be sent to Hahalolo in order to help you and your friends with faster connection and better use.

This feature is available only on Hahalolo mobile app versions.
On Hahalolo app, tap 
in the bottom right of Hahalolo:
- Tap Friends.
- Go to Contacts in the Menu bar.

To perform this feature, you need to grant Hahalolo permission to access contacts on your device.
Afterward, tap Update contacts to upload contacts to Hahalolo.
- A list of Hahalolo accounts created by phone numbers/emails in your contacts will appear.
- Tap Add friend to connect with them on Hahalolo.
How do I accept a friend request?
- You can see a list of friend requests in Notifications from the menu bar at the top of your page or in a few places that you might get notifications.
- By clicking Accept or Confirm or the icon
, you agree to make friends with that person.
- Tap
in the bottom left of Hahalolo to see a list of friend requests. Or you also can go to Friend requests in Friends.. - By tapping Confirm, you agree to make friends with that person.

Why can’t I add someone as a friend?
YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ADD SOMEONE AS A FRIEND IF:
- You may have sent them a friend request, but they haven't accepted your request yet.
- Check if the friend requests you’ve sent are still pending. Please wait patiently for them to respond to your friend requests.
- Your friend request may have been deleted.
- You two are already friends on Hahalolo.
- You've reached the maximum number of friend requests on Hahalolo.
Where can I view the sent friend request list?
The list of sent friend requests shows the number of requests that an account owner has sent to others.
From your news feed, click Friends in the top left of the screen or on your profile and click Friend requests sent.
- Tap in the bottom right of Hahalolo, then tap Friends or go to Friends on your profile.
- Tap Sent requests.
